Introduction
Crisis Control assists organizations in emergency management (strategic) planning. The central theme in the planning process focuses on Business Continuity Management: “ the holistic management process that identifies potential threats to the organization and the impacts to business operations that those threats if realized, might cause, and which provides a framework for building organization resilience with the capability for an effective response that safeguards the interests of its key stakeholders, reputation and value creating activities” .
Our integrated plans separate policy plans from action plans (crisis management plans). We believe that the number of documents should be as low as reasonably achievable. The information should be boiled down to the essentials of the subject: the ability of the organization to respond to any disruption to continue business operations at an acceptable level in order to survive the crisis or disaster.
Our action plans prevent unnecessary improvising or even panicking in times of great pressure and ambiguity.
The integral planning of crisis management consists of the following components which are integrally combined with each other:
- Part 1: Strategic Plan
- Part 2: Business Continuity Plan
- Part 3: Business Assistance Plan
- Part 4: Crisis Management Plan
- Part 5: Crisis Communication Plan
- Part 6: Scenarios
The Strategic Plan
In Part 1: The strategic plan describes the high strategy-level business continuity of the total organization: policy statements, scope of the plan, mandate, budget, strategic choices, plan maintenance and auditing.
The Business Continuity Plan
Part 2: Business Continuity Plan describes the critical processes, recovery priorities based on the maximum period of disruption, threats to critical activities and the steps to respond immediately to recover business activities before the impact of their loss causes irrevocable damage.
The Emergency Response Plan
Part 3: The emergency response plan describes the organizational structure, procedures, tasks, responsibilities of the emergency response organization to deal effectively with their tasks, such as first aid, firefighting, rescue, evacuation and damage control.
The Crisis Management Plan
Part 4: The Crisis Management Plan describes the organizational structure, procedures, tasks and responsibilities of the crisis management organization to deal effectively with the crisis in order to resolve the crisis efficiently.
The Crisis Communication Plan
Part 5: The Crisis Communication Plan describes the organizational structure, procedures, tasks and responsibilities of the crisis communication team to inform, instruct, build credibility, keep confidence in order to restore the reputation of the organization.
Scenarios
Finally Part 6: The integral planning consists of a few robust scenarios, such as loss of buildings, loss of staff, power outages, financial and or reputational damage.
The scenarios describe the measures that should be carried out to prevent irrevocable losses.
